The Local Government Unit of Siquijor, represented by its Municipal Mayor, Hon. Richard C. Quezon, and Municipal Agriculturist Glenda C. Chan signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the implementation of the second phase of the FISH Visayas Project on October 24, 2022. The MOU is a partnership between AFOS Foundation, Business Membership Organizations (BMOs), National Government Agencies (NGAs) from DA-BFAR 7, DOST 7, DTI 7, and identified Local Government Units (LGUs) in Central Visayas.
The signing of the MOU was facilitated by the Siquijor Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (SCCII), represented by its President, Mr. Arthur Chan, and its Field Officer for the FISH Visayas Project, Mr. Reaan Gerald Osmond C. Catitig.
The FISH Visayas Project MOU streamlines four expected result areas, namely: (1) Training for Fishermen & MSMEs, (2) Dual Training in the Fisheries Sector, (3) Market Access, and (4) Resource Protection.
