AFOS Foundation Introduces New Logo and Visual Identity to Mark its 20th Anniversary
By Mary Ruth Ochavillo. Posted on May 11, 2023.
Cebu City, Cebu – Following its expanded scope in development cooperation for 20 years, AFOS Foundation for Entrepreneurial Development Cooperation introduces a pristine and vibrant logo that best represents its dynamic and modern approach to international cooperation. In the Philippines, the logo was unveiled with its partner companies, academe, national government agencies, and business membership organizations on May 11, 2023, at the AFOS Foundation office, Apas, Cebu City.
The Forest Green and Bright Green in the new logo stand for the origin of AFOS as an initiative of the Federation of Catholic Entrepreneurs (BKU). The initiative “Africa Fund for Self-Employment” was launched in the 1990s and transformed into AFOS Foundation in 2003. A shade of green goes back to the colors that identify BKU.
Ultimately, green stands for the color of life, sustainability, growth, harmony, transparency, and positivity.
Notably, the crossbar in the letter “A” reflects the progress of converging aims on entrepreneurial development that cut across interventions in food security, skills development, climate change, and BMO capacitation. More than this, the logo represents the upward growth, expansion, and sustainability of project interventions aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Present on the unveiling of the AFOS Foundation logo are key local partners of AFOS Foundation in the Philippines, respectively, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (CCCI), Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), the Siquijor Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCII), Dumaguete Cathedral Credit Cooperative (DCCCO), Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region VII, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region VII, PSEFI – SKILLS, Inc., Center for Industrial Technology and Enterprise (CITE), CVISNET Foundation, Inc., and the Cebu Contractors Association (CCA). AFOS Foundations seeks to maintain its strong partnerships in the Philippines as it aspires to further strengthen the relations between Germany and the Philippines.
