AFOS Foundation Joins German-Philippine Chamber's Mabuhay German 2023

Pasay City, Metro Manila – On November 18, 2023, the AFOS Foundation actively engaged in Mabuhay Germany 2023, a three-day event organized by the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI). Serving as a crucial platform, Mabuhay Germany placed a special emphasis on innovation and future technologies aimed at fostering sustainable development.

Over the course of the event, attendees were immersed in the latest sustainable technologies and practices, providing a fertile ground for networking and collaboration. Business leaders, government officials, and industry experts from both nations came together to explore opportunities that advance sustainable practices. The plenary talks held throughout the three-day affair delved into the role of trade in shaping the future of both the Philippines and Germany, with a focus on thematic schemes addressing climate change and the green economy.

Notably, AFOS Foundation was represented by its Project Manager and Philippine Representative, Ms. Yvette Hope Labus, along with Area Coordinator and Focal for Skills Development, Mr. Bryan Araneta, and Knowledge Management Coordinator, Ms. Mary Ruth Ochavillo. The organization’s dynamic participation not only played a role in cultivating meaningful connections at the national level but also in generating insightful ideas concerning the green economy and the role of women in climate change. These discussions held particular relevance to grassroots implementation, thereby showcasing the AFOS Foundation’s unwavering commitment to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals through technical cooperation projects supported by the German government. This dedication underscores the foundation’s ongoing efforts to positively impact communities and contribute to sustainable development.
