AFOS Foundation Celebrated as a Premier Partner of LGU Bantayan at Bantayan Day Gala ’23

AFOS Foundation is recognized as one of the top partners of LGU Bantayan at the “Bantayan Day 2023 Celebration: Makabag-ong Bantayan, Panghingusgan” on June 30, 2023.
This esteemed accolade highlights the significant contributions made by AFOS Foundation through the FISH Visayas Project in its tireless efforts to uplift the lives of fishers and MSMEs in the Municipality of Bantayan. Interventions include Marine Protected Area (MPA) assessment and management, Blue Swimming Crab hatchery for stock enhancement, improvement of Solid Waste Management thru the creation of the Basura Hipusa, Kahimsug Panggaa (BAHKAP) System, improvement of the drying facility in Panitugan Island, Barangay Sulangan, and the linking of Shangri-La Mactan’s Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative “Weaves of Hope.”
The recognition given by the municipality serves as a testament to the collective efforts of all partners involved in achieving the goals and objectives of the project. Through this recognition, the FISH Visayas Project aims to further enhance its collaborative endeavors with the LGU Bantayan, fostering a relationship built on mutual trust, respect, and a shared vision for sustainable development. The project remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the fishers, MSMEs, and the preservation of Bantayan Island’s invaluable natural resources.
