DESCRIPTION OF ASSIGNMENT

 

 

Conduct the Training/ Seminar on “Organizational Development: Roles, Authority and Accountability, Objectives and Direction Setting for Fisherfolk Associations in Cordova” for the People’s Organization beneficiaries of the FISH Visayas Project in Cordova.

Result 1 – 1 – Trainings for Fishermen and MSMEs
Fisherfolks and MSMEs have improved their production and processing processes and are able to meet relevant quality standards.

The services to be carried out by the STE will include the following:

  1. Coordination with CCCI and AFOS Foundation-FISH Visayas Project Team on the content of the Training/ Seminar “Organizational Development: Roles, Authority and Accountability, Objectives and Direction Setting for Fisherfolk Associations in Cordova”
  2. Facilitate and steer the discussion during the session.
  3. Ensure effective time management to efficiently deliver the scope and coverage of the training/seminar.
  4. Document and submit activity report highlighting the training/ seminar.

  • Preparation of training plan and training materials (0.5)
  • Facilitate conduct of training to 3 PO beneficiaries of the FISH Visayas Project: (3 – 1day per PO)
    – Pilipog Fisherfolks Association (PiFA)
    – Kapunungan sa mga Mananagat sa Ibabao (KaMI)
    – Pundok sa Progresibong Mananagat sa Bangbang (PPMB)
  • Documentation and report writing (0.5)

Experience and expertise in conducting and facilitating Organizational Community Development (OCD).

  1. Excellent communication and facilitation skills to ensure effective engagement and participation of participants.
  2. Know-how and competency in community development which include but is not limited to fishery.

The Short-Term Expert will work in close coordination with the  Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and AFOS Foundation – FISH Visayas Project Management:

Pre-training:

  1. Coordinate with FV Project team on the scope and coverage of the topic, necessary preparations, and logistics requirements.

Workshop Facilitation:

  1. Lead the discussion as Resource Speaker and ensures the presentation uses simple, clear and relevant experiences/ incidents with the fisherfolks.
  2. Ensures the active participation and guarantees a balanced exchange of information from service provider, attendees with LGU, FISH VISAYAS project.
  3. Facilitate participants’ sharing during the open forum and Q&A session.
  4. Guarantee effective time management and efficient delivery of the topic during the session.
  5. Document the discussion and the relevant information generated during the session.

Post-training:

  1.  Facilitate submission of the Training Activity Report
  2. Highlight findings, observations and recommendations to the FV project team as reference of ways forward as potential interventions for the capacity enhancement and capability building of the 3 Peoples’ Organizations (POs).
  3. Guarantee to share a copy of the deck or presentation materials used during the training.

Interested Short-Term-Expert or Consulting Firms are requested to submit the following:

  • Updated CV highlighting relevant experience in developing qualification profiles and curriculum designs.
  • A brief proposal outlining the proposed training plan, methodology, and professional fee.

The deadline for submission is Friday, February 16, 2024.
